Do I need planning permission? 
Planning permission is not normally required as our buildings fall under permitted development (built under 2.5m high externally). If for any reason this doesn’t fall under permitted development for example your home is a listed building then we would be on hand to help you with the planning process.
 
Can I use my garden room during the winter?
Absolutely! Our garden rooms are super-insulated and will keep you very warm and cosy in even the coldest weather. Our buildings are designed for all year round use and are built to a very high specification.
 
What do I have to do before you arrive to build my garden room?
We would ask that the site is clear of existing structures, trees and shrubs etc. But we can discuss this in more detail when we do our site visit and happy to include this within our pricing if required.

I have an usual shaped garden, can I still have a garden room?
Our garden rooms are truly bespoke and made on site from the ground up. They are not pre-fabricated in anyway. This enables us to create a garden room that will fit perfectly in your garden regardless or the shape or size.
 
How long will my garden room take to build?
This is dependant on the size, style and specification. We aim to build most garden rooms in 2-3 weeks.
 
Can I have dividing walls or separate rooms within my garden room?
Absolutely! In fact this is a perfect way to make your garden room a multi-use space and get the most out of your garden room.
 
Do you offer electrical connection from my garden room to my house?
Yes. We would connect your garden room to your main house. We also offer a cat 6 connection for the fastest and most stable internet connection.
 
Can I choose my windows and doors?
Yes. As with all finishes in our garden rooms they are fully bespoke and can be chosen by you.
 
I would really like a roof light in my garden room but have noticed a lot of garden rooms I can’t have this.

Is that the case with Tulip Garden Rooms?
We can install roof lights. This is because our structures are fully bespoke to your requirements.
